Winterfest Background

The inaugural Winterfest, initially named "Holiday Lights At Meinig," started in 2022 and quickly gained immense popularity within the community. Building on the success of the initial year, the second year witnessed substantial growth, with visits increasing from 5,000 to an impressive 17,000 in 2023. 

As The Parks and Recreation looks ahead to the third year, the overarching objective remains to continue the upward trajectory of Winterfest and further amplify the impact of this winter celebration. The goal is not only to sustain the increased attendance but also to actively work towards surpassing these numbers, fostering greater community engagement and enhancing the overall Winterfest experience.
